The night before the trek, we had doudo, a traditional Hunza noodle dish made with wheat noodles, vegetables and egg. Looks suspiciously like ban mian. It was nourishing.
An indicator of things to come, we chanced upon a nice flower. We saw many more flora and fauna along the trek.
We reached our base camp, and the driver and porter unpacks the jeep.
I bought a traditional Pakistani hat to replace my beanie as my headwarmer. Hopefully it works. I look like some boy who delivers the newspaper, or bakes bread. Oliver Twist. Wth.
You can pull down the edges of the hat, till it covers your entire face. I was clearly very cold when I did this. I look like I am going to be executed soon. Which is not really far from what was to happen at the trek.

The BBC newsfeed is quite hilarious. 2 about cricket, 2 about random violence, 1 about india's shrimp industry.
